Description

The Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA) course is intensive. It covers the ADR requirements relating to classification, packaging and labelling of dangerous substances in UN Classes 1 to 9, Transport Categories, Limited and Excepted quantities, Documentation, Placarding and Marking of vehicles.

Since 1st January 2000, any companies and other organisations involved in the transport of dangerous goods have been required to appoint a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA). This requirement covers road, rail, and waterways. An Adviser must hold a certificate gained by passing a written examination, the examinations being set and administered by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

Candidates will be required to register for examinations directly with DVSA. Usually, this will include 3 examinations (Core – Road – All Classes), payable to the DVSA. Examinations are run quarterly. All information about the DGSA examination is available on the DVSA website –  www.gov.uk/dgsa

(Full payment required at least three (3) weeks prior to course commencement.
(NB: No refund will be made for candidates failing to attend or fully or partially attended the course. This includes any situation where a candidate is expelled from the course).
